Dairy products are a source of hormones, including oestrogen and progesterone. These hormones occur naturally in cows and are present in cow's milk and other dairy products. In addition to naturally occurring hormones, many dairy products also contain added hormones, such as bovine growth hormone (BGH).

These are the hormones that are often given to cows to increase milk production for selling more milk to people so that sellers can earn more money from milk but the problem is that the production increase and profit of the seller also increase but it affects cows and people who drink that milk especially the women.  

  •  How Dairy Affects the Menstrual Cycle

The hormones found in dairy products can have an impact on the female body, including the menstrual cycle. Some studies suggest that dairy consumption may be associated with an increased risk of certain menstrual cycle disorders, including polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS).

PCOS is a common hormonal disorder that affects up to 20% of reproductive-aged women. Women with PCOS often have

  • Irregular menstrual cycles
  • Acne 
  • Weight gain
  • Excess hair growth

Dairy products contain hormones that can have an impact on the female body, including the menstrual cycle.
